The Integrated Probation Performance Framework
At the end of each quarter the Perfomance Unit at the National Offender Management Service (NOMS) produces an Integrated Probation Performance Framework (IPPF). The four main categories the IPPF monitor are:
- Public protection
- Offender Management
- Interventions
- Operational capability, resource use and strategy
It then calculates these categories into performance bands separately and gives each probation area an overall achievement banding as follows:
| Outstanding performance |
* |
Four star |
| Good performance |
|
Three star |
| Passable performance |
|
Two star |
| Poor performance |
|
One star |
Nottinghamshire Probation Area’s performance
The 06/07 IPPF showed that Nottinghamshire had achieved the highest rating of four star. Quarter one (April to June) 07/08 and Quarter two (July - September) 07/08 has shown that Nottinghamshire has performed well, but has reduced to a three star which is graded as good.
The Area continues to produce a local Probation Monthly Report which includes information on performance against targets.
If you require any information regarding performance and targets please contact Louise Smith, Performance Officer at Nottinghamshire Probation Area Headquarters on 0115 840 6495.
